helter skelter soul

fear
all consuming, tintillating,
what's that... don't breathe.
call the colors, dance the dance... you can't????
footsteps sounding dark of night.
wannabees you know..... don't you?????

the chair held.

laugh the laugh... loudly.
louder still... turn on all the lights.
yes, it s still there sitting.. dare I pick it up?
footsteps running... laugh louder still...
dance fool dance... cold metal not needed in the nights designs.

with morning light calm returns.
laugh fool laugh.

take a walk in the green as daylight softly approaches.
footprints.
more than one.
sunrise trepidation.
tensing.. plotting... precautions taken.

and the blue jay calls his warning.. and the dove his calming coo.

upside down, inside out.
tomatoes rotting on the vine.
cornstalks tall, long since barren.

immobilized.. at once.
again denial.
sounds.

laugh fool laugh.
approach with glee.
the end or the beginning.
